What we do
Vouch is a recruiting service. We find candidates for companies that are hiring and introduce the two. Candidates are never charged. Companies pay a placement fee, and only if someone they met through us signs an offer. Vouch is Sawa Predictions, Inc. (dba Vouch), 45 Lansing Street, Apt 1901, San Francisco, CA 94105.
The fee
10% of the hire's first-year base salary, invoiced when the offer is signed and payable within 30 days of their start date. There is no retainer, no fee to open a role, and no charge for a search that does not result in a hire.
Accounts
Candidates never need an account: joining the pool is a short form and, if they choose, a phone call with our AI agent. Hiring starts with a short brief. A company we are running a search for gets a private page for its shortlist and a sign-in for its own team; nobody else can open it. PostHog, a product analytics provider, records how that page and our team's pages are used, with every word, field and picture on them hidden, so it sees clicks and the pages opened, never a candidate's name or details, and knows someone signed in only as our team or that company's team, never by name or email. Answers typed into the role interview on that page are processed by Anthropic, our AI provider, to draft the role. Notes our team writes about candidates we have met, transcripts of our conversations included, are processed by Anthropic too, to file them in a private talent pool that only our team can open, to search it and to match candidates against the roles our clients are hiring for. A search sends Anthropic the words our team searches with and what our notes say about a candidate, and never adds the name, email or phone we hold for them. To find a candidate's LinkedIn profile, we may send Anthropic their name and the company, school and city our notes give, for a web search of LinkedIn; it never adds an email or phone. To fill in a candidate's profile, we may read their LinkedIn page, either without signing in, fetched for us by a web-access provider that receives only the link, or in a browser of our team's signed in to LinkedIn, as that account can see it, and have Anthropic write out their profile picture, work history, schools, skills and location from it (we keep a copy of the picture). When LinkedIn does not show the page, we may send only the link to Anthropic for a web search of LinkedIn instead. The pool is also matched against companies we follow, hiring or not, and their public job postings, read from their own careers pages, from Google Jobs or from our data providers, and against open roles at other companies found through Crustdata or on Google Jobs. Crustdata or Apollo, which we use to find and follow those companies, receive a company's name, website or id and a job title; when we look for companies that could suit a candidate, they also receive the kind of role the candidate wants, up to five of their skills and the company stages they prefer, and never their name, contact details or anything else about them. SerpApi, which we use to read open roles from Google Jobs, receives a company's name or a city and a kind of role, and never anything about a candidate. To find those open roles we use Crustdata, which receives a kind of role, a place and the size and type of company, and never anything about a candidate.
Calls with our AI agent
The call is with an AI, not a person, and it is recorded and transcribed. We say so before you ask for it and the agent says so as it begins, and asking for the call is your agreement to that. We call only the number you give, and only when you ask. Nothing the agent says is an offer of work, a promise of an interview or advice. If we put you forward to a company for a role, that company's team can hear the recording and read the transcript. You can end the call at any time, and ask us to delete its recording and transcript.
Being straight with each other
We will describe candidates to companies accurately and describe roles to candidates accurately, including the parts that are awkward. We ask the same of you. Materially misrepresenting experience, or a role, ends the relationship.
Referral program
If you refer someone to Vouch and we place them, we pay you for each person placed: $1,000 for each of the first 25 people placed from your referrals, $1,500 for each from the 26th to the 50th, and $2,000 for each from the 51st on. We count your referrals in the order they were placed, and the count when a placement is made sets what it pays; reaching a new level does not change what earlier placements paid. A referral counts only when the person you refer is new to us: they join through your referral link, or name you in "Who referred you?" when they first sign up, and we had no record of them before. Someone already in our records cannot be referred, and when two people refer the same person, the first referral on our record is the one that counts. Placed means that a company we were running a search for hired them through Vouch, and that they have stayed employed there for more than 30 days from their start date. We pay once per person placed, to one referrer, within 30 days of that 30-day mark, by bank transfer or another method we agree with you; you are responsible for any tax on it, and we may ask for the details we need to pay you lawfully. You cannot refer yourself, refer someone under a name or identity that is not theirs, or refer someone who joined before your referral. We decide in good faith whether a referral qualifies, and may refuse or reclaim a payment made on a referral that broke these terms. We may change or end the program at any time; a change applies only to referrals made after it, and a referral already made under these terms keeps them. The program is offered where the law allows it and is void where it does not.
Stopping
Either side can stop at any time, with no notice and no penalty. Email firas@use-vouch.co. A fee already owed on a signed offer still stands.
